My father and my uncle were avid bird hunters. They both were excellent dog handlers and instilled in me their love for and their skill with bird dogs. To this day I still remember the things he taught me and I combine his teachings with the West Method.
Since my retirement I spend most of my days working with the dogs on the training table and then apply what they have learned in the field with live birds. Every dog is as different as day and night and must be handled accordingly. I do not use a cookie cutter approach but I consider each dogs personality. Applying the knowledge I obtained from my father and using various training methods, I have produced dogs that when I drive to Kansas or West Texas and turn them out they can get the job done. My dogs are blessed with long reaching and excellent pedigrees and the guidance I give them only furthers their natural ability. My passion is and always will be bird hunting.
At this time we are not doing any training except for our own dogs.
